Who we are…

Downtown Ecommerce Partners (DEP) is a US-based ecommerce consulting and services company out of Chicago. We have an office located in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Here, we are a team of about ten people that work in a beach house. Results and fun are core to our company culture. Our core values are: collaboration, creativity, dedication & achievement.

Collectively we are involved with the community and have created relationships in town with local organizations to give back, by donating a little of our time. It’s about two hours a month for each of us.

Speaking of fun… we grab breakfast together once a month somewhere in Tamarindo, perform one formal DEP state of the union meeting each month, and take a big DEP outing at least once a year. This past year we rented a house, and the year before that we went out on a catamaran. Fun.

What we seek…

We want to hire a full time team member. Because we are growing, we anticipate more opportunities for the right team members in the near future.

Ideally we prefer our team to work in the window of 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. The actual schedule for each team member varies. We are flexible with working while traveling and/or at home as long as deadlines are not missed.

What we are looking for from you…

Seeking hard working individual that is eager to learn and can multi-task. This individual is familiar with excel, especially formulas, strives for successful results, and is eager to tackle a good challenge. The right person will be working on multiple accounts and projects as well as assisting team members where needed.

We get better with each team member we onboard. Because of that, we’re looking for someone that will bring new perspectives and will work efficiently while constantly learning. There are also several certifications that will be presented and required to complete. Lastly, there is room for growth

Must haves…

• Located in or near Tamarindo full time
• Fluent in English
• Undergraduate Degree
• Written and spoken communication skills
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Analisis Skills–comprehend data, make actionable decisions & recommendations
• Microsoft Office proficient: Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel
• Multi-tasker & self sufficient (tend to look for answers on own before reaching out to team)
• Ability to prioritize workload & work efficiently
• Decision-making skills
• Fun to work with

Nice to haves…

• Experience with paid search
• Education in advertising, marketing or business
• Experience/proficiency analyzing & comprehending data

What the job responsibilities are:

• Proactive, strategic optimizations + tests to help grow clients’ bottom line
• Keyword research & optimization (including reporting)
• Ad Copy testing and recommendations (search new trends online)
• Reporting including; ad scheduling, extensions, Sitelinks, quality score, landing page testing and more.
• Completing and analyzing weekly & monthly reports for clients
• Continual knowledge development (research) of market and industry & sharing knowledge with team  Contribute to DEP blog when needed
