Who we are…

Downtown Ecommerce Partners (DEP) is a US-based ecommerce consulting and services company out of Chicago. We have an office located in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Here, we are a team of about ten people that work in a beach house. Results and fun are are core to our company culture. Our core values are: collaboration, creativity & dedication.

Collectively we are involved with the community and have created relationships in town with local organizations to give back, by donating a little of our time. It’s about two hours a month for each of us.

Speaking of fun… we grab breakfast together once a month somewhere in Tamarindo, perform one formal DEP state of the union meeting each month, and take a big DEP outing at least once a year. This past year we rented a house, and the year before that we went out on a catamaran. Fun.

What we seek…

We want to hire a part time team member, with a high probability that they will transition to full time in the next 6-12 months. Because we are growing, we anticipate more opportunities for the right team members in the near future.

Ideally we prefer our team to work in the window of 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. The actual schedule for each team member varies. We are flexible with working while traveling and/or at home as long as deadlines are not missed.

What we are looking for from you…

We get better with each team member we onboard. Because of that, we’re looking for someone that will bring new perspectives and will work efficiently while constantly learning. There are also several certifications that will be presented and required to complete. Lastly, there is room for growth

Must haves…

  • Located in or near Tamarindo full time
  • Fluent in English
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Written and spoken communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Decision making skills

Nice to haves…

    • Experience with writing & creative projects
    • Education in advertising, marketing or business
    • Experience/proficiency analyzing & comprehending data
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

The right person for this position will bring to the table good communication skills, a penchant for organization, and the desire to be a contributor, not just a participant. We get better with each team member we onboard.

What the job responsibilities are:

  • Setting up and managing social media profiles for our clients across various social media channels.
  • Curating and posting relevant content for each brand.
  • Creating or overseeing the creation of content (pictures, text, video, audio)
  • Building audiences within each channel.
  • Manning the online engagement within those channels.
  • Responding to direct messages on any channel.
  • Contributing to the DEP blog as needed.
